No Bulldog in My Toddler's Ear, Winter Without Snow, And Countless Other Love Stories..

¡Hola!

Si it's been a while, and si, I do apologize. Time for some good news: the Temporary Dimensionist is now the new and not so improved Mrs.Tee Dee! Si! Love was in the air for the longest time, soulmates complained of separation, they reunited, and God willing, will live happily ever after, or just live happily, that would most certainly do, for now = )

In other great news, my toddler, aka my dadoo, aka my nephew, is now a toddler and his doctor was trying to find the bulldog in his ear, but thankfully didn't. Do not ask what this means, only the dadoo knows.

In better news yet, we have been experiencing a winter without snow. I have nothing against snow, in fact, I welcome the change, change is always good, even in the form of frostbite.
What I'm not looking forward to however is the big BANG and BOOM of the snow showers that will be hitting us with a vengeance once they're done fooling us with their winter without snow scam. This applies to Toronto btw, and maybe also the new state of York.

I love blogging. I had forgotten the joy of mindless chatter. But here I am again, fortified with B12 and ready to take on the world of blah blah blag. In this new series however, I would really like to talk. You can talk too, I am a nonjudgmental nobody who likes to hear all points of views. Afterall we live in a world of perception and yours is just as brilliant as mine :P so go ahead, delight mi cerebro!

Mucho amor,

TD

I Live in a Zoo : )

I really do. And I'm loving every second of it! : P
So to date, let's see who I've had the privilege of meeting and greeting.
Birds of various kinds, all sorts of insects for meals bein sur, and no garden would be complete without squirrels.
The raccoons have a go at the trash at night, and the deer have mutilated our flowers.
Snakes come and go, most are harmless so we're not alarmed but I'd appreciate if they made friends with the mice and found themselves another place to hang out at.
Yesterday I met the baby frog who had made itself cozy on the patio chair. And the day before that? Bats! Yes, bats. I knew about the possibility of seeing a fox, but a bat? Weirrdd. Now the fox was a beauty, I only saw it once, she/he stood very graceful, unafraid. It's moments like these that I regret not having my camera glued to my hand!
But wait, the best is always saved for last. My mother's voice woke me up today at 5:30 a.m
And for what you may ask? A BEAR! LOL! A BLACK BEAR with 3 of her cubs in our backyard!!
How insane is that?! Now I'm usually very groggy when I wake up but when I heard bear, I jumped as if the bed was on fire! Out came the camera and we filmed them as they were trying to find something to eat!
We felt so bad since there wasn't anything she could find to feed her kids. They rummaged a bit through the trash and disappeared into the wooded area.. I went online, found myself a wildlife rescue number and called. And guess what, it turns out, they're our neighbors! How crazy is that?!
They've been seen before and there's nothing anybody can do about them since this place was/is essentially their home. But what if someone gets hurt? Black bears are known to be mostly harmless. What that means is, if the animal is not cornered or threatened then it would not attack a human. But this bear of ours has cubs, and it's known that a sow will not have a problem ripping my face off if she feels I'm a threat to her young. Talk about ferocious motherly love.
You'll find some good tips here on what to do if you ever encounter a bear. I pray you never do!
AAaaaaaa!

It's been a Year

Passing Time

Your skin like dawn
Mine like dusk.

One paints the beginning
of a certain end.

The other, the end of a sure beginning.
